Deadly Premonition 2: How to Get More Clothes & Change Outfits

deadly premonition 2, change clothes

Written and directed by Hidetaka Suehiro, better known in the industry as Swery65, Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise is a direct follow-up to the original game, though it does jump between present day and an old case from York’s past. The game is just as charming as the original, however, and you can expect many of York’s idiosyncrasies to make a return in this game as well. Here’s how to change clothes and get more outfits in Deadly Premonition 2.

How to Change Clothes in Deadly Premonition 2

Similar to the first game, York can change clothes by interacting with the full-length mirror in his hotel room. Head over to the mirror and press the A button to interact with it, and this will automatically bring up a list of all the outfits that you currently have in your possession.

Select the outfit you want, then press the A button again to confirm your selection and you’re good to go. You can do this as many times as you want before heading off; the only caveat is that you can only change clothes at the mirror in the room.

One other thing to note is that the longer you wear the same outfit, the dirtier it’ll get. While this has no bearing whatsoever on the main story, you’ll start to attract flies and this will also affect the way NPCs interact with you when you talk to them. Make sure to send your suits for cleaning at the hotel and change into a clean suit after each day.

The suits will take one day for the cleaning process to finish, and they’ll be sent back to your inventory after that.

Getting New Outfits

Unlike in the first game, getting new outfits in Deadly Premonition 2 is less straightforward and a little more tedious. Early on in the game, you’ll unlock the stamp board, which is basically a large checklist of things you can do in the game.

Stuff like grabbing collectibles, completing skateboard courses and basically participating in all sorts of extra activities in the game can reward you with stamps, which can then be exchanged for new outfits. It’s definitely a bit of a tedious process, however, and if you’re not looking to 100% the game and see everything it has to offer, it’s unlikely that you’ll unlock very many outfits at all.

That’s all you need to know about how to change clothes and get new outfits in Deadly Premonition 2. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
