Using Fireworks and Sparklers in Animal Crossing New Horizons

First off, fireworks and sparklers shouldn’t be confused with the actual fireworks show that takes place every Sunday evening on your island. At 7 p.m. on Sundays, a fireworks show will begin, and you can even speak to Isabelle outside the Resident Services building to add custom designs to the show.

However, aside from the show itself, you can also make use of the new fountain fireworks and sparkler items included with the update.

Every Sunday, Redd will show up with a little stall outside the Resident Services building, and you can pay 500 bells to join the raffle and win a random item. We’ve got a full list of items you can get from Redd right here, but essentially you have a chance of getting a fountain firework or a colored sparkler from him.

There’s also a chance that your villagers can gift you sparklers once the show has started, so be sure to talk to them whenever they run up to you.

Once you have them, go to your inventory and use them. For the sparklers, you can hold them and press the A button to light them. As for the fountain firework, you’ll have to drop them on the ground, then press the A button to light them.

Unfortunately, these are one-time use items which means you’ll need to get more from Redd after you’ve used them.

That’s all you need to know about how to use fireworks and sparklers in Animal Crossing New Horizons. Be sure to check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
