Beating Shadow Rise in Persona 4 Golden

Shadow Rise is actually one of the easier boss fights in Persona 4 Golden, but the encounter can be a little tricky if you’re not entirely sure what to do.

The fight will start with her trying to analyze each of your party members and attempting to hit their weaknesses. Your goal here is to just deal damage until you whittle down about a third of her health. Since Shadow Rise has no particular strengths or weaknesses, just focus on using your strongest physical attacks and magic spells.

Once her health is down, she’ll use a move called Supreme Insight, and from this point on, you won’t be able to damage her at all. What you want to do here is just have everyone guard for three turns, and a cutscene will automatically play after that.

Once the cutscene ends, you’ll be thrust into another fight with Shadow Teddie, who isn’t too hard to deal with either as long as you can cover all ice weaknesses. King Frost is a good Persona to equip on the main character for this fight.

One other thing to note is, try not to use any items during the Shadow Rise fight. All your HP and SP will be automatically recovered when you move into the next phase, so feel free to burn your SP while fighting her, but don’t bother wasting your items.

That’s all you need to know about how to beat Shadow Rise in Persona 4 Golden. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
