Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is finally releasing on the Nintendo Switch this month, and there are some goodies to redeem if you’ve played Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on the same console as well. They’re not game-changing, but can serve to be a rather helpful boost at the very beginning of the game. Here’s how to redeem your Xenoblade Chronicles 2 save data bonus in the game.
Redeeming XC2 Save Data Bonus in Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition
In order to be eligible for the save data bonus, you need to have an XC2 save file on your Nintendo Switch. As long as you have that, you’ll be able to redeem the bonus. Boot up your copy of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition and start a new game. Before you can jump in, the game will do a scan to see if you have any save files of XC2, and if you do, it’ll ask if you want to redeem your bonus.
Select ‘Yes,’ and you’ll receive 100,000G right at the very start of the game. Do note that if you choose not to redeem it, you won’t be able to do so unless you start a new file.
It might not sound like much, but the extra 100,000G at the start of the game is a huge help, and can allow you to purchase all the equipment you need to give your characters an edge in battle. It’s not necessary of course, and you can always hold on to the money and spend it on other items later on. But for beginners, it can be helpful to purchase some extra equipment for some added offense and protection.
That’s all you need to know about how to redeem your XC2 save data bonus in Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
