Xenoblade Chronicles is a fast-paced JRPG that released for the Wii a few years ago, but Monolith Soft is bringing it back to the Nintendo Switch with an improved and enhanced Definitive Edition. Most of the gameplay mechanics remain the same, but the game has received a much-needed graphical overhaul to make it look even prettier. Here’s how to heal and restore health in Xenoblade Chronicles.
Heal and Restore Health in Xenoblade Chronicles
Unlike most JRPGs you might be familiar with, Xenoblade Chronicles doesn’t feature an item system where you can use potions or hi-potions to restore health in or out of battle. You’ll need to rely completely on your Arts to heal up, and if they’re on cooldown and one of your characters is on the verge of dying, then you’re probably out of luck.
At the start of the game, only Shulk will have a proper healing ability. Light Heal is an Art that restores a little bit of health to one party member, and you can select it on your Arts bar in battle to use it. After that, you’ll only be able to use it again once the cooldown timer is up.
However, once you reach chapter 4 of the game, Sharla will join your party and she’s equipped with much more efficient and effective restoration spells. Heal Bullet and Heal Blast are single-target abilities, but they restore a lot more health than Shulk’s Light Heal, making her your dedicated healer for the early hours of the game.
If she isn’t your active party leader, Sharla will restore health to your party members whenever they need it.
Outside of combat, you don’t really have to worry about restoring health as everyone’s HP automatically refills once you finish a battle.
That’s all you need to know about how to heal and restore health in Xenoblade Chronicles. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
