How to Get Class Items in Trials of Mana

As far as Trials of Mana’s Class Items go, there are specific methods you have to use to get them based on which level you’re trying to reach.

For those tied to Class 3, your only option is to plant ??? Seeds at the planter boxes found at inns throughout the game. Every ??? Seed you plant will give you a Class Item which will allow one of your characters to reach their third form, and you can use most any you obtain to try out and experiment with each character’s different classes.

However, it’s worth noting that what you receive through this method is randomized. You won’t be able to control which one you get, and as a result, you could end up with multiple tied to one character and none tied to another.

Likewise, there’s no good way to get ??? Seeds other than to defeat late-game enemies and hope that they’ll drop them after being defeated.

There’s no way around this either, so if you’re looking to get a specific party member up to their third form, you’ll simply need to roll the dice with some grinding and planting, and hope for the best.

Class 4

As for how you can get the Class Items needed to change to each character’s fourth form in Trials of Mana, the process is a bit more straight-forward and assured.

After completing the main game at least once, you’ll gain access to a series of post-game quests tied to each character. By completing each of these quests, you’ll gain access to a special Sphere which, when used at the Goddess Statue in the Sanctuary of Mana, will allow you to reach one of two Class 4 form changes with each character.

There’s no RNG tied to obtaining these, and you’ll be able to reuse them should you decide you’d like to see what the other form variant is like after making the Class Change initially.
