If you’re on your second playthrough of Sakura Wars – or just want to skip a scene you’re not particularly interested i for whatever reason – then you’re probably wondering if there’s a way to skip past a cutscene and get to the juicier bits of the game. That’s why we’re here with a guide on how to skip cutscenes in Sakura Wars.
How to Skip Cutscenes in Sakura Wars
Skipping cutscenes in Sakura Wars isn’t that difficult to do once you know what your options are.
During any cutscene in the game, you can press the option button to pause the scene and open the pause menu. From here, you can select the Skip option to skip any cutscene in the game, dropping you into a subsequent cutscene or back into the gameplay proper.
This can greatly increase how quickly you can make your way through the game, though it also comes at the cost of context you’ll need to understand what is going on during dialogue interactions and key story beats.
It’s also worth noting that this only applies to the game if the latest updates have been applied. If you’re playing the un-patched version of the game, then you won’t have the option to skip cutscenes until you’ve successfully cleared the game at lest once.
This means that you’ll need to watch every cutscene in its entirety even if you were forced to load a previous save for whatever reason, and can result in a much longer playthrough.
Can You Skip Dialogue-Based Cutscenes?
As for Sakura Wars’ dialogue-based cutscenes, your options are a bit different.
Instead of being able to skip the scene flat-out, you’ll instead be able to skip past dialogue not linked to dialogue choices by rapidly pressing the X button.
Though time-consuming and not as immediate in terms of its effect, this method can still greatly reduce the total amount of time you spend on story content, whether it’s your first time seeing it or your seventh.
