Moving Out: How to Smash Windows

Moving Out likes to poke fun at the real world of removals. If the client has signed a waiver, you’re free to break anything you like, from TV screens to every window in the house. So that you can get better access to rooms, here’s everything you need to know about how to smash windows in Moving Out.

While there are some challenges that ask you to complete levels with all windows still intact, smashing them can help you complete the level in a quicker time.

You’re able to jump through broken windows, and even throw items out of them instead of walking all the way around to the truck.

How to Smash Windows in Moving Out

Thankfully, windows aren’t very well made in the world of Moving Out. I’d be shocked if you couldn’t break one by just sneezing near it.

In the game though, you can break windows by jumping through them (by pressing X if you’re on PS4, A on Xbox One, or B on Switch) or by throwing something at it.

Jumping through them is simple, but throwing something small at it, such as a cardboard box, allows you to stay where you are if you want to throw something else through the window after you’ve broken it.

To throw an item, pick it up with one of the triggers, then hold square if you’re on PS4 (X on Xbox One or Y on Switch) to aim where you want it to go. With the aim going towards the window, let go of the buttons to chuck it.

With it smashed, you’re free to use the gap as a shortcut, a place to throw things, or even a path to carry things out of.

Time needed: 1 minute.

In short, there are two main ways to smash windows in Moving Out:

  1. Jump through them.

  2. Throw something at them.

That’s everything you need to know about how to smash windows in Moving Out. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
