Piscatella, who you may know for being the analyst providing video game statistics every month, shared on Twitter that the original Final Fantasy VII is estimated to be the second best-selling Final Fantasy game in the US in terms of dollar sales (basically total revenue), trailing behind Final Fantasy XV.

Due to that, he expects the game will be a “huge hit.”

We don’t have much longer to wait and see what happens considering that the release date is tomorrow, even if many stores already shipped their copies.

It’ll certainly be interesting to see if the game will overtake its predecessor and Final Fantasy XV.

Lately,  Square Enix also released an extensive behind-the scene video followed by a second one, a third, and a fourth.

The first game of the Final Fantasy VII Remake will officially launch on PS4 tomorrow, April 10, 2020, but as mentioned above, many already have it.

We recently learned that the game will be a PS4 exclusive only since April 10, 2021. After that, it could come to other platforms, even if nothing has been officially confirmed by Square Enix yet besides the date.

Update: the original post included a misinterpretation of Piscatella’s tweet, indicating that the Final Fantasy VII Remake was currently the 2nd best selling game instead of the original Final Fantasy VII. That was silly and I apologize to those who read the original post in the minute it was up before I realized that I’m an idiot.
