Today Square Enix is rolling out the massively-anticipated demo of the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake for PlayStation 4.

Today Square Enix is rolling out the massively-anticipated demo of the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake.

The demo can be downloaded right now on the North American PlayStation Store, on the European one and on the Japanese PlayStation Store.

This means that it’s likely going to release on all stores later today. If it’s not yet available in your region, you should try later at the links showcased above. 

Of course, if you can’t wait, you can also make a quick account bound a region in which it’s already available and grab the demo that way.

We also get an official description explaining what you can expect.

“Enjoy the first chapter of FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE─the iconic Mako Reactor 1 bombing mission─with this demo version.
– Progress cannot be carried over into the retail version of the game.

On top of that, downloading the demo abefore May 11 will net you an exclusive PS4 theme when the game releases.

The first game of the Final Fantasy VII Remake will launch on PS4 on April 10, 2020.

We recently learned that the game will be a PS4 exclusive only since April 10, 2021. After that, it could come to other platforms, even if nothing has been officially confirmed by Square Enix yet besides the date.
