How to Beat Obsidian Mansion (Marionetta) in Rune Factory 4
Before you even go to Obsidian Mansion, you’re going to want to make sure you have your weapons and armor adequately upgraded. If you don’t, even the mobs will end up giving you trouble.
At this point in the game, the regular weapons and armor you find lying around aren’t going to do much damage. What you’ll want to do to get around this is make some basic weapons using ore.
While you won’t use these weapons in the fight, they’ll serve to increase your forging score after you upgrade them all the way to level 10. The higher forging level allows you to make the better weapons and armor you need at your crafting table.
Finding Obsidian Mansion
To find the mansion, go all the way south of the main gate. From there, go directly west and you’ll see a creepy mansion.
When you enter the mansion, you’ll find yourself in a begins a room filled with paintings. Head over to the one with a blue arrow that contains a diary and read it.
Once you’ve read the whole diary, examine the painting on the northeast end. Doing so unlocks the middle door.
From here on, it is a straight shot to the boss. Just be careful of the monsters, reapers, and spiders that can attack you.
Traps in the mansion are also super dangerous, as they’ll kill you in one hit.
Now that you’ve made your way to the mansion and understand a little more about it, it is time to talk about the primary boss fight with Marionetta.
Fighting Marionetta
Marionetta has a health bar of 3400, so she is going to be able to take a lot of hits. Alongside this, she loves to spam the screen with junk that makes it hard to see and even does a bit of damage.
Using your upgraded weapons and armor, try to nail down her timing when it comes to attacks. On top of this, you can throw the tables and chairs at Marionetta for a nice chunk of damage.
With the proper gear and some practice, Marionetta and the Obsidian Mansion shouldn’t be as tricky as it once seemed.
