One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is very much a fighting game, and it has all of the mechanics that one would expect from a game in the genre. It can be easy to forget how to trigger every move and technique though, so we’re here to walk you through how (and when) to guard.
How to Guard in One Punch Man A Hero Nobody Knows
Guarding in One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is simple. All you need to do is press and hold down the Circle button on PlayStation 4 or the B button on Xbox One. We’ve included the button commands below just in case you need to refer back to the at any point.
|PlayStation 4||Press and hold Circle Button|
|Xbox One||Press and Hold B Button|
While a character’s guard is active, you’ll decrease any incoming damage substantially. However, you also won’t be able to move until you release your guard, and your guard can be broken should you take a guard-breaking hit.
When You Should Use Your Guard
With these factors in mind, there are a few things to keep in mind about when you should Guard in One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows.
When your enemy has locked themselves into an attack, or is about to unleash a Killer Move against you, it’s almost always a good idea to use your guard. Doing so will allow you to escape heavy damage, and give you time to come up with a counter attack for when their barrage subsides.
On the other hand, if your enemy is visibly charging up an attack or waiting for you to drop your guard, it’s best to avoid using your guard and focus on dodging. This will allow you to get in a better position and keep from taking unnecessary damage once you drop your defenses.
