Breaking an Enemy’s Guard in One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows

Whenever you’re in a battle with an opponent, sometimes they might choose to have their guard up and prevent you from dealing much damage to them. While you can easily break an enemy’s guard by simply wailing away at them with attacks until their stamina bar depletes, there’s a more efficient way to go about this.

To break an enemy’s guard instantly, use a charge attack. You can do this by pressing and holding down the Square button (or X button if you’re playing on Xbox One). The longer you hold the button, the more powerful the charge attack will be, allowing you to deal just a bit more damage to your opponent.

Release the button, and you’ll perform a charge attack that can break your enemy’s guard, and also send them flying backwards a short distance.

This would be a good time to quickly close the distance and follow up with another string of attack combos.

If you’d like to guard yourself, you can also do so by holding the circle button (B button on Xbox One), but do be aware that enemies can also break your guard with a charge attack.

To recap, here’s how to break an enemy’s guard in One Punch Man:

  1. While standing next to your opponent, press and hold down the square button.

  2. Release the square button to perform a charge attack that breaks their guard.

The longer you hold down the button, the more powerful the charge attack will be.
