The first thing to note is that a character’s Stage Rank is not related to their level at all. The best way to increase your Rank quickly is to have that particular character be in your main lineup.

Even if they can still get experience points while in the backup team, their Stage Rank will never go up.

Raising your Rank for all the characters is important as it’s tied to unlocking new Performa, which unlocks new Radiant Unities to help make battles easier.

In addition to that, if you want to unlock the true ending, you need to complete all character side stories. And side stories will only be available once a character’s Stage Rank is high enough.

As you can probably tell by now, Rank is pretty important, so you’ll want to increase it as often as possible to see everything the game has to offer.

In order to increase it, you need to have that character in your main party. In addition to that, having them participate in Session attacks will also help to push their Rank upwards.

If you really want to grind it out, though, you might want to consider participating in fights at the Arena to increase it quickly.
