Izanagi Games announced a new actress joining the cast of the upcoming game Death Come True by Danganronpa creator Kazutaka Kodaka.
Chihiro Yamamoto will play Nene Kurushima, defined by the press release as a “psychopath girl.”
Below you can read a brief official description of the character.
“An eccentric girl that happens to be staying in the hotel.
She’s a murder enthusiast and a self-proclaimed fan of the serial killer, Makoto Karaki.”
That certainly sounds like an interesting profile…
We also get some information about Yamamoto-san herself and her career.
Born on August 29, 1996, in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan.
She started learning tai chi at the age of three and won two gold medals at the World Junior Martial Arts Championships (2008, 2012), and also won the JOC Junior Olympics for three consecutive years (2010-2012).
Taking advantage of her sense of action, she starred in the special effects action historical drama Blackfox: Age of the Ninja. Her major appearances include the movies Genin Aoi Kage, Cheer Boys!!, Ultraman Geed, and the drama Soroban Samurai Kazenoichiben.
Yamamoto-san also provided a comment to accompany the announcement:
“It was a great honor to join everyone in this new world setting that had never been tried by anyone before.
Also, it was a fun and fresh experience to act as a character that I had no experience with before personally. As a single-player experience, this game is a real thrill. I hope everyone will give it a try!”
This follows the reveal of Yuki Kaji, who will play the concierge of the hotel that serves as the setting of the game. You can also watch the first teaser trailer.
If you’re unfamiliar with Death Come True, Izanagi Games describes it as an “authentic full-motion video game” mixing gameplay and live-action. It will include multiple endings depending on the choices made by players.
Platforms, release dates (besides a generic 2020), and additional information about Death Come True are still shrouded in mystery.
