From the moment you start the game, Phoenix Point’s doomsday clock starts. Almost every action you take will require time that brings you closer to Pandorians taking over the world.

Traveling from point A to B, scanning, and finishing research are a handful of things that you’ll need to wait and rely on the clock in order to use them.

The exception to this rule is when you are navigating through menus or are mid-mission. Time is paused during these points, but you will need to progress in order to get things done.

Now that you know about how to use time in Phoenix Point, let’s talk about how to use it to your advantage.

How to Speed up Time in Phoenix Point

For a lot of the research projects in Phoenix Point, you’ll need to wait a certain amount of time before they finish.

If you don’t have anything to do, or simply don’t feel like waiting, you can speed up the process by heading to the Geoscape.

Once here, hit the play button located in the middle right of the screen. This will begin fast-forwarding time.

To control the speed at which it fast forwards, press the + sign to make it go faster and the – sign to make it go slower.

You can pause it by hitting the pause button that is located in the same place as the button you pressed to start the fast-forwarding.

With the clock controls at your fingertips, mankind is one step closer to getting back to normal.

Time needed: 5 minutes

To summarize, do the following to speed up time in Phoenix Point:

  1. Open the Geoscape.

  2. Hit the play button on the middle right of the screen.

    This starts time simulation.

  3. Hit + to go faster, – to go slower, and the pause button to stop.

That is everything you need to know about how to speed up time in Phoenix Point.
