sword, shield, pokemon

Pokemon Sword & Shield marks the first-ever mainline Pokemon game on a Nintendo home console, and it’s definitely the grandest and most ambitious in the series so far. Of course, many familiar gameplay mechanics make a return, including evolving Pokemon. Here’s how to evolve Snorunt in Pokemon Sword & Shield.

Where to Get Snorunt

Snorunt is an ice-type Pokemon that you can find in areas in which it is snowing — though it does sometimes appear near areas that are snowing. We managed to capture one in East or West Lake Axewell in the Wild Area. It can also be found in the Hammerlocke Hills.

Snorunt can evolve into two different forms: Glalie, and Froslass.

How to Evolve Snorunt in Pokemon Sword & Shield

Glalie

Snorunt evolves into Glalie, but you’ll be able to do this once your Snorunt has reached Level 42. To do this, you will, of course, need to feed it the appropriate amount of experience candy or just level it up by fighting.

Experience candy comes in the following sizes:

  • XL – 30000
  • L – 10000
  • M – 3000
  • S – 800
  • XS – 100

Froslass

To evolve your Snorunt into Frosglass you’ll need to locate a Dawn Stone. This special gem can be found by using the Digging Duo brothers in the Wild Area for treasures. You’ll just need to pay them 500 Watts per dig.

Of course, if you haven’t already been to the Lake of Outrage, you’ll be able to find a Dawnstone there, too.

That’s everything you need to know on how to evolve Snorunt in Pokemon Sword & Shield.
