Where to Catch Rolycoly
Before you get a Carkol you’re going to need to catch a Rolycoly first. Rolycoly can be found in a number of places, including Galar Mine, Motostoke Outskirts, and Motostoke Riverbank, but for the best chances of a spawn, head to Route 3.
Once you have your Rolycoly you’re ready to evolve it into a Carkol.
How to Evolve Rolycoly in Carcoal in Pokemon Sword & Shield
Rolycoly will evolve into Carkol naturally once it has reached level 18, so it’s simply a case of building the experience of your Rolycoly.
Of course, all Pokemon level-up after being used in battle, but you can always use experience candy to level them more quickly. Candy comes in different sizes that each give a different XP boost, which is as follows:
- XL – 30000
- L – 10000
- M – 3000
- S – 800
- XS – 100
What makes Rolycoly slightly different from other Pokemon in Sword & Shield is that it has multiple evolutions. Carkol is only the second evolution in the cycle; you’ll be able to evolve Carkol into Coalossal after Carkol for an even more powerful Pokemon.
