Cygames has been sharing new trailers and interesting artwork of its upcoming fighting game Granblue Fantasy Versus.
The assets have been revealed on the game’s brand new Twitter account (sources 1, 2, 3, 4, 5).
First of all, we get some lovely art focusing on Katalina and Charlotta.
For Katalina we get her 3D model alongside that of her primal, Ares. We also see her animation storyboards. The tweet mentions that the double structure of her cloak and waistcloth is very challenging to display in 3D, but the frames are animated by hand to achieve a cool moves and silhouettes.
For charlotta we also see her anomation storyboards. In order to achieve consistency between a harvin’s cuteness and hitbox size, her animators have incorporate various ideas in her design, alongside many small movements.
We then get two trailers. The first features a boss battle in RPG mode, which also includes the possibility of playing with a friend in co-op against a single AI opponent.
The second trailer showcases the online lobbies, which will prove familiar in concept to fans of games by Arc System Works.

Granblue Fantasy Versus will release on February 6, 2020, exclusively for PlayStation 4.
