If you’re wondering if you can pet the dog in Luigi’s Mansion 3, then you’re in for a treat.

Right at the beginning of the game, you can go into one of the bathrooms in the hotel and Luigi’s ghost dog, Polterpup, is waiting there for you to give him a good pat on the head.

If you interact with him, Polterpup will lick Luigi in the face and then Luigi will say “puppy” in the cutest way possible.
