Modern Warfare brings the single-player campaign back to Call of Duty, following its absence in Black Ops 4. You’ll come across a few different bad guys as you play, with the main one being Barkov. Before we start, you should note that there will be heavy spoilers to follow for the end of Modern Warfare’s campaign.
The final mission in the single-player story sees you infiltrate Barkov’s gas base so that you can capture him and end the threat he’s posing to the world.
After fighting your way up the hill to the base, you’ll make your way inside. After a few switches between the two groups of characters in the game, and some heartfelt moments between Alex and Farah, Farah goes to stop Barkov.
As Captain Price and the rest of his crew reach the top of the base, the perspective switches to Farah, who is hiding under a table on Barkov’s helicopter as he tries to escape. This is where you’re given control and you need to kill him.
How to Kill Barkov in Modern Warfare
Once you have control of Farah and Barkov has walked over to the back of the helicopter, you can begin crawling towards him.
Once you’re right behind him, a little icon will appear saying that you can take him down by pressing in R3. Do that, and Farah will stab him in the shoulder.
To kill Barkov, you’ll need to stab him a few more times. Most of them will just come as part of a cutscene, but you can also use the shoot button to continue attacking him with the knife once you’ve grabbed it from his shoulder again.
It’s pretty simple. Then, once he’s lying on the floor, you can choose what you say to him before kicking him to his death.
