The trailer is a mix of cutscenes and gameplay, showing off characters that will prove very familiar to fans of the genre, alongside scenes that reproduce important moments from the anime.

You can watch it below.

If by any chance you’re not familiar with Fairy Tail, it’s a fantasy manga by Hiro Mashima serialized on Weekly Shounen Jump from 2006 to 2017.

As with most popular manga, it also spawned a long-running anime TV series, OVAs, and even theatrical movies. It’s without a doubt one of the most popular manga and anime franchise of the past couple of decades.

Recently, Koei Tecmo showcased plenty of gameplay from EGX, and you can watch it here.

You can also check out the original announcement trailergameplay footage from Tokyo Game Show, and a gallery of screenshots, and the latest batch introducing Juvia and Gajeel.

Fairy Tail will be released for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in 2020 both in Japan and in the western markets.
