The Surge 2 is a tough game, but you’re going to have a really bad time if you can’t even properly focus down the enemy you want to defeat. In this guide we’ll go over how to lock on to enemies in The Surge 2, switch targets, and more.
How to Lock On to Enemies in Surge 2
Like any proper soulsborne-like game, targeting down enemies is extremely important. You want to make sure your gaze is focused on the correct enemy otherwise you might miss your mark.
This is especially true in The Surge 2, perhaps even more so. This is because once you’re locked on, not only can you target a single enemy, you can also attack specific body parts and limbs in order to damage enemies in a specific area. Doing so without locking on will be pretty tough.
|PS4: Locking on||Push Right Stick In|
|Xbox One: Locking on||Push Rick Stick In|
To lock on, press in the Right Analog Stick on PS4 and Xbox One. This will target the enemy closest to you. From there, you can move the Right Analog Stick to target the specific body part or area that you want to attack.
If you want to switch targets mid battle to focus your attention on a different enemy, you can still do that as well. All you need to do is press L2 on PS4 or LT if you’re on Xbox One and the game will shift your attention over to other enemies that are nearby.
|PS4: Switch Target||L2|
|Xbox One: Switch Target||LT|
That said, it’s generally better to take down one enemy at a time and not split your damage across multiple targets otherwise you could get quickly overwhelmed.
That’s all you need to know about how to lock on to enemies and switch targets for The Surge 2. Best of luck surviving and thriving in the latest from Deck 13.
