Almost every area in Borderlands 3 has some Crew Challenges to complete, and the Jakobs Estate is no exception. That’s why we’re here to walk you through how to find every crew challenge’s location in Borderlands 3 with minimal hassle.
Every Crew Challenge’s Location in Borderlands 3
When it comes to the Crew Challenges in the Jakobs Estate in Borderlands 3, most of them are fairly easy to find. Better yet, you can find all of them in one visit to the Estate if you keep your eyes out, especially if you follow this guide’s directions to the letter.
Borderlands 3 Jakobs Estate Crew Challenges – Crimson Radio Station Location
The first Crew Challenge you’ll come across is a Crimson Radio station located on top of a shack.
To reach it, enter the shack and grapple onto a platform above a row of lockers. Then, grapple up onto a ledge directly in front of you.
Once you’re up on the ledge, turn right. There should be a window you can jump out of to reach the shack’s roof. Jump out the window, then look to your right. You’ll see a ladder you can jump up onto that leads to the radio station above.
Borderlands 3 Jakobs Estate Crew Challenges – Target of Opportunity Location
Next is the Target of Opportunity, which sees you pitted against a special variant of a Goliath.
To reach them, head to the right side of the area where you found the Crimson Radio Station and make your way through the buildings located there.
The highest building in the top right corner of the area will have a walkway that leads into the section of the map with the Target of Opportunity. Take the walkway into the new section of the map, and then continue towards the point marked on the map.
Where to Find Both Dead Claptraps
The first Dead Claptrap can be found to the North of the previous two Crew challenges in a small series of caves.
To reach it, head north through the area where you found the Crimson Radio Station until you reach a narrow path. Head down the path and bear right when the path splits.
This will take you to a larger cave area. Continue forward while sticking to the left side of the cave and you’ll run into the Dead Claptrap before long.
The second Dead Claptrap can be found further into the area, in a small alcove from the main corridors of the main Estate building.
After entering the room with red banners, hug the left wall and look for a small opening you can enter. Go through the opening, and you’ll see the Claptrap at the bottom of some stairs.
Where to Find Every Typhon Log – Jakobs Estate Crew Challenge
The first Typhon Log is located directly north of the Crimson Radio Station. From the building you need to scale to reach it, head north across a bridge until you come to an opening on the left. At the opening, turn left. The log will be directly in front of you.
The next log is found after taking the servant’s lift up to the Estate proper.
After stepping off of the lift, head towards the tree in the top portion of the triangular section of the map. The log can be found at the base of the tree on the left side.
The last log is on a balcony in the boss arena for Billy the Anointed.
From the entrance, go towards the exit on your right to the far side of the room. Head up the stairway within, and then look to your right to find the log.
Where to Find Typhon’s Dead Drop
After you’ve found all of Typhon’s Logs, you’ll be able to open Typhon’s Dead drop for the area. It’ll be in a small alcove of the cave where you found the first Dead Claptrap.
This can be a bit of a hike to get back to, but if you’ve been advancing through the main story missions, you’ll gain a short cut to it via Monty’s hidden room.
From the hidden room, continue heading down until you drop down into the grotto. From there, circle down and around into the larger area of the cave and head to its top right corner. The Dead Drop will be along the wall next to a campfire.
