AI Somnium Files Psyncing In the Swain Walkthrough
Just like most of the other puzzles in AI Somnium Files, Psyncing in the Swain also comes with two solutions, opening up two completely different narrative branches in the story. Getting both of them are vital to unlocking and completing all story routes in the game and getting the true ending, so you’ll need to do both at some point if you want the full picture.
While it’s also one of the easier puzzles in the game, it’s also one of the most important as it’s directly related to two of the main story routes and endings. We’ve included the steps for both solutions, as listed down below.
First Solution: Unlocks Ota’s Route
- Lie down in the icy water
- Breather on the plate on the green shelf to your right
You’ll want to do this to the plate closest to you on your right, and it should reveal the A-plate.
- Sortie with the forklift
- Motivate Ota
Second Solution: Unlocks Mizuki’s Route
- Lie down on the icy floor
- Roll the oil drum
- Throw something at the power board
- Encourage Ota
This puzzle room is generally pretty straightforward, especially since the number of steps required to break all Mental Locks is quite low. However, making one wrong move can cost you a lot of wasted time, forcing you to retry the puzzle from a checkpoint or the beginning.
