Here’s How to Get the Monkey Key & What It’s Used For in Remnant From the Ashes

As you make your way through Remnant From the Ashes, you’ll find weapon after weapon to use as you defeat every enemy you encounter (which you should be doing as each enemy drops useful resources you likely need).

Eventually, a weapon will be less useful than it once was because it simply no longer stacks up against the enemy. One weapon that can fill the void of power your older weapons might create is the Assault Rifle.

To get this gun, you need the Monkey Key.

Before talking about how to get the Monkey Key, let’s talk about what it’s used for.

What It’s Used For

The Monkey Key is an item you can pick up and it’s literally just a key. Now, it’s more than a general key because it opens a very specific door in a certain dungeon.

Called The Supply Run, which is a quest that tasks you with entering a dungeon storehouse, near the end of this run, there is a door with a monkey on it. Behind the door is a room with the coveted Assault Rifle in it.

To open this door, you’ll need the Monkey Key. Let’s talk about how to get this item.

How to Get It

To get the Monkey Key, you need to begin the quest or mission called The Supply Run. It’s a simple side quest that has you running through a short dungeon.

Your main goal is to enter the storehouse at the end of the dungeon. To get the Monkey Key, progress through the outside area of the dungeon.

When you actually go inside a building, which is the storehouse, you’ll find that there are a number of different pathways to take with many leading to items.

Continue through the storehouse until you reach the part of the map in the screenshot below, which comes courtesy of YouTube channel, Neyreyan.

To get here, when you enter the building, go through the left entrance that has a red hue. Continue forward until there is a door to the left that you can go through.

Once in here, you’ll find yourself in a long hallway. Simply continue forward until you spot a skeleton corpse with red light beam shooting out of it.

Approach it and you’ll see that the corpse is housing the Monkey Key.

Use this key to get the Assault Rifle.

So in sum, here’s a step by step for how to get the Monkey Key in Remnant from the Ashes.

  1. Begin The Supply Run

This is a side quest dungeon that you can go through.

  2. Continue forward until you go into a building

You’ll begin this dungeon outside. Go through the dungeon until you reach a building.

  3. Head through the building until you find a skeleton corpse.

Once in the building, go through the left exit, continue forward through a hallway door and at the other end of the hallway, you should spot a skeleton corpse.

  4. Grab the Monkey Key from the skeleton corpse.

The skeleton corpse before you is housing the Monkey Key. Pick it up.

That’s it for how to get the Monkey Key & what it’s used for in Remnant From the Ashes.
