How to Get a Hermit Card & What It Does in Astral Chain
File 06 of Astral Chain has you following the mysterious character named Hal into Sector V, a quarantined section of The Ark totally sealed off to the public.
About halfway through the File you’ll arrive in Sector V and find the settlement there, where you might hear residents talk about a Hermit Card.
Luckily, it isn’t too hard to get one and there’s one specific thing it’s used for.
Go to the bottom level of the settlement, right before the exit out to the train tracks. Find the Shivering Woman at the bottom, marked with a blue quest marker.
Talk to her and she’ll ask you to deliver lunch to her husband. Now head all the way to the top, to the blocked exit gate where you were barred from entering before.
Give the husband the lunch and he’ll give you the Hermit Card, a handy little membership that lets you buy Hermitonic from the vending machine in the hallway to the lower level. Whereas Hermitonic cost 100,000 G before, now you can buy it for a measly 10 G.
What to Use Hermitonic For
Now that you have the Hermitonic, you won’t actually use it for a little bit. Just follow the main objective until you have to find info on a secret entrance to the Hermit’s base.
At this point, you can head down to the lower level again (the same area you found the Shivering Woman) and talk to the Drunk Man slouched over the table.
In exchange for a Hermitonic, he’ll give you some valuable information that can help you proceed in the story. Aren’t you glad you picked one up now?
