What Rainbow Capsules Do in Dr Mario World and How You Get Them
Mario’s swapped his dungarees for a lab coat, and instead of stopping Bowser (at least at the start) you’re stopping vicious viruses. In order to stop them, you have to fire off little medicine capsules towards them, and once fired they float up the stage towards the enemy. But be careful; they must match the colour of the virus!
Don’t go firing a red pill at that blue blob, that’s like treating a cough with travel sickness pills. But, did you know there was an even easier way to stop the viruses spreading? The answer is simple; the rainbow capsule!
As well as the normal capsules you have to eliminate viruses of the corresponding colour, the rainbow capsule is like…the miracle pill. It has the capacity to match with objects of absolutely any colour!
Thankfully, getting them is pretty simple. Once you make seven matches that eliminate either viruses or capsules, the next pill you would typically have to use becomes a rainbow pill. A meter on either side of the stage indicates the amount of matches you make during the level.
Once you get the rainbow pill, fire it off towards any virus you like. Have the red viruses been giving you the stank-eye? Get rid of them! This feature might seem a little OP early on, but the rainbow capsule is bound to help you out of a tight spot in future levels.
The best thing to do is to use them to create matches is particularly tricky to reach places or to remove viruses that are blocking other potential matches.
