What is Summer Games Done Quick?

Summer Games Done Quick is essentially a week-long Twitch stream and fundraiser for the humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders. Some of the best speedrunners in the world attend to show off their skills but also help with the fundraising.

There are often entertaining fundraising goals to add special stipulations to speedruns like blindfolding the player or allowing funds to count as votes towards giving a character in an RPG a certain name.

Times

Summer Games Done Quick 2019 starts on Sunday, June 23 at 12:30 p.m. ET with the Preshow, then a speedrun of Spyro Reignited Trilogy: Spyro the Dragon kicks off the games at 1 p.m. ET. Donations will open once the stream goes live.

The event runs until the following Saturday on June 29 with no time off the air. The final speedrun of the event, Chrono Trigger, will begin at 7 p.m. on June 29 and the whole event wraps up with the Finale at 1:12 a.m.
