Getting Skill Points in Borderlands 2

Skill points are actually a pretty straightforward thing to obtain in Borderlands 2 and simply come with leveling up your character.

Each and every time that you fill the experience bar at the bottom of the screen, either by defeating enemies or completing missions, you’ll level your character up and be given one skill point to invest in your character’s skill tree.

It’s worth noting, though, that the very first one you obtain has to be spent on your character’s action ability before Borderlands 2 enables you to invest in any of the other abilities in the rest of the skill tree. This is received at level five, but get this one out of the way and then you’re free to start shaping your character’s various abilities to those that will best suit your play style in the game.

Outside of that, there’s not a whole lot else you need to know about getting skill points in Borderlands 2. If you’re looking for more guides on the Commander Lilith DLC, you’re in the right place.

How to Respec Your Vault Hunter’s Skills

If you find that you’ve made a mistake when investing your points into the various abilities for your character, there is the option to respect your skill points. This can be done at any New-U Station across Pandora.

Upon purchasing this, you’ll have the ability to completely respec their character however they wish, so you might want to make a note of particular skills you want to keep before buying.

The cost to respec in Borderlands 2 varies depending on the amount of skill points you’ve obtained so far in Borderlands 2. The more it is, the more expensive it’s going to cost you, but it’ll never be any more than $15,000.

We’ve got guides explaining Rainbow Rarity, how to start the DLC, how to get a level 30 character from the beginning, how to farm effervescent gear from Uranus, and how to beat Haderax the Invincible.
