How to Get More Car Parts in Team Sonic Racing

The first thing you’ll need in order to get more parts is Credits, the in-game currency of Team Sonic Racing. Credits are earned whenever you finish a race, and you can earn more depending on how well you perform, how many rings you collect, and which difficulty you play on. Considering you earn Credits for every race, it’s not hard to rack up a bunch.

Once you have your Credits go the main menu and select the Mod Pods option. Here you can use 10 credits to purchase a Mod Pod, which gives you a random item. This can be new car parts, one-time use items, new horns, paint jobs, and more.

In terms of car parts, you’ll be able to switch out the body, spoiler, and wheels, all of which can have various effects on your car’s performance. Keep in mind the Mod Pods are totally random, so the part and the character it’s for will also be random. Luckily, you’ll always get something new and can’t get repeats of the same parts.

How to Change Parts

Now that you have your new parts, there are two ways of changing them. The first is to go to the main menu and select Garage. Now you can select each character and choose a preset combination of parts for them. This’ll take effect across the game.

Your other option is to simply start up a race, and on the character select screen, you can choose loadout to swap all three of your part types out on the fly. Make sure to experiment with new parts to see how it changes your car’s performance, and what might fit your playstyle best.
