Rage 2: How to Get the Defibrillator

As you blast your way across the sandbox of Rage 2, even overwhelming firepower won’t be enough to hold back waves of relentless Goons and mutant Authority soldiers –you’re going to get swamped at some point. That’s where a little life support comes in handy, so here’s how to get the defibrillator in case you’re unsure.

How to Get the Defibrillator in Rage 2

The defibrillator is one of the handiest abilities in the game, as it essentially acts as a second chance when you’ve been downed in combat. Using the ability, you’ll be able to kickstart yourself back onto the battlefield by timing a quick-time sequence correctly (it isn’t very hard).

Like all of the special Nanotrite abilities available to you in Rage 2, Defibrillation is acquired by locating and unlocking an Ark pod. Specifically, you’ll need to head over to the Canyon Cove Ark, which is located in the southwestern corner of the Broken Tract region.

As is the case with any Ark, you’ll have to battle your way through a dozen or so Goons before you can access the Ark pod and receive the defibrillator ability.

The only difference this time is that they’re fighting a bunch of Immortal Unshrouded –heavily armored troops that use drones when fighting. Still, as long as you have some health infusions and enough ammo you should be fine. The enemy difficulty is rated at 5/10.

Remember that once you’ve fought off all the enemies, to unlock the pod simply face it and hold L1/Left Bumper to activate your focus. You’ll then gain access and be taken through a tutorial of how to use the defibrillator.

Note that while the defibrillator starts off as only a two-button combination, it can be upgraded to provide more health upon resuscitation, which increases the number to four.

After you’re done you’ll have to battle more Immortal Unshrouded on the way out.

That’s everything you should need to know about how to get the defibrillator in Rage 2. For more useful tips and guides on the game, be sure to check out our wiki page.
