Forager is the latest smash-hit game to take the Steam community by storm. Players simply have to gather, collect, and manage their resources as they craft items and structures, buy more land to explore, and build and grow their base out of nothing. It’s a simple concept but one that’s incredibly compelling. But is Forager coming to Xbox One? We’ve got your answer.
Is Forager Coming to Xbox One? Answered
At this moment in time, Forager is currently only available on Steam. While developer HopFrog had initially stated back in January that Forager would release on PC and consoles at the same time, there seems to have been a change in the past few months. Forager released on PC on April 18 this year, and the PS4 and Nintendo Switch versions are still being worked on.
Unfortunately, no release date has yet been announced for these console versions. What’s even worse news for you readers who have likely come here in the hope that there’s an Xbox One version on the way is that currently, there’s absolutely no word whatsoever that Forager is coming to Xbox One.
In a Steam blog post explaining the delay to the PC version back in January, developer HopFrog specifically notes “all of the game’s versions” and proceeds to only list “PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch” as the platforms. This would suggest that, sadly, at this moment in time, Forager won’t be coming to the Xbox One.
Of course, never say never. With Microsoft’s recent push for indie content on the Xbox One and the positive reception to Forager, it might look to add this quirky title to the console’s ever-expanding list of smaller titles.
