How to Beat the Skarn in Dauntless

The Skarn is one of the many Behemoths you’ll face in Dauntless. It’s not exactly one of the toughest enemies you’ll face in the game, but it’s no slouch either, so here’s a few tips if you’re having a hard time against this beast.

Strategy

First off, the Skarn has two attack patterns that can be interrupted very easily, allowing you to get some free hits in.

When the Skarn stands up on its rear legs, you’ll have a good few seconds to get in as much damage as possible to stun it, and cause it to collapse. Once it falls over, make sure to move away as it’s still possible for you to take damage from the impact.

Secondly, the Skarn also has a very well telegraphed spin attack that can be interrupted as well. However, your window for interrupting this move is a little shorter than its other pattern, so you’ll want to be doubly careful if you’re using a slower weapon.

If you’re not confident in being able to interrupt the spin attack, it might be wiser to just let the Behemoth do its thing, then go in for a few more hits once the move is over.

Lastly, it’s also worth noting that this monster is vulnerable to the Shock element, so use that to your advantage.

Defeating the Skarn and getting the appropriate monster parts will allow you to craft a set of Skarn armor and weapons in Dauntless.

That’s all you need to know about how to beat the Skarn in Dauntless. Be sure to check our Dauntless guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
