Survivor is a game where you need to make Big Moves (TM) to win. And what better way to make Big Moves than by voting out the biggest threats? Here’s who got voted off tonight in episode 10 of Survivor 38: Edge of Extinction.
Who Got Voted Off Tonight in Survivor 38: Edge of Extinction 2019 Episode 10
Sadly, Dan ‘The Wardog’ DaSilva was the unlucky castaway who got voted off in Survivor 38.
The Reward Challenge
Before we get into the voting politics, though, tonight’s episode featured a reward challenge. After getting a close win by throwing hoops around three poles, Rick, Wardog, Julie, and Lauren got to enjoy the reward together.
However, Rick didn’t necessarily see the reward as a strategizing opportunity. Before they went on the reward, Rick, Wardog, and Ron had already made a pact with each other to get the ‘goats’ out of the game. They saw themselves as the biggest threats, and Wardog made the argument that if they turned on each other, none of them would make it to the end.
On the other hand, the reward allowed Lauren and Julie to bond. After Wentworth’s blindside, Lauren was determined to get revenge on Wardog, and she ended up finding a potential ally in Julie.
Back at camp, Gavin was also still bitter about the Wentworth blindside, which was made worse by the fact that Wardog didn’t make much of an effort to reconcile with him. Together with Victoria, Aurora, and Ron (who was now playing both sides), they decided to vote out Rick as he was seen as the biggest threat currently. Gavin was disappointed that the group didn’t seem that keen on voting Wardog first, but he opted to stick with the numbers.
Revenge for Wentworth
Things didn’t go as planned, however, as Rick won the immunity challenge rather handily.
With that in mind, Victoria, Aurora, and Gavin then decided that Wardog would be the logical vote, as he was the next biggest strategic threat after Rick.
As Aurora had already cultivated a certain level of trust with Ron by letting him hold on to her extra vote, he seemed to be a little more easily swayed to her side as he saw someone he could trust, and potentially use later on. Ron also informed Julie, his closest ally, of Aurora’s extra vote advantage.
On the other side of things, Wardog and Rick had decided to vote out Aurora. Wardog then went to Julie with the plan, and she agreed to it.
Finally, Julie and Lauren had their own private conversation about the vote, and Lauren seemed unsure about voting out Wardog as she didn’t necessarily think it was the right time to do so.
Ultimately, though, Lauren decided to go for the blindside. At tribal council, only Rick and Wardog had voted for Aurora, and everyone else unanimously voted for Wardog, sending him to the Edge of Extinction.
