To open these locked gates, you need Skeleton Keys. As the name would imply, these are one size fits all keys that can open and gate in the Krypt.

Getting Skeleton Keys in Mortal Kombat 11

Keep in mind, while the contents of a chest are randomized, the contents of all of the chests in the entire Krypt is not.
