How to Beat Carlos in Days Gone

Carlos is the leader of the Rippers, the cult-like group that abuses drugs and have some sort of dream of becoming like the infected Freakers. Towards the end of the game’s second act, Deacon will face off against Carlos in a boss fight.

The fight is fairly straightforward, and is actually pretty reminiscent of the final fight in Uncharted 4 in that you have to rely solely on melee attacks and dodging at the right time.

In essence, you’ll want to keep a close eye on your stamina, and only make use of your dodge roll when you see Carlos lunging towards you. Once he lunges and misses, he’ll fall to the ground for just a couple of seconds, leaving him completely open to melee attacks. This is when you want to strike.

Keep repeating this process until his health bar is eventually depleted.

The tricky part about this fight is not being able to heal, coupled with the fact that your stamina bar can take a while to recharge. Because of that, it’s extremely important that you only dodge when you see Carlos lunging towards you. If you spam the dodge button too much, you’ll get caught without stamina, and Carlos can take you down with just one melee combo.

If you’re still having trouble with the fight, we’ve got a video guide embedded down below to hopefully help you out.

That’s all you need to know about how to beat Carlos in Days Gone. Be sure to check our Days Gone guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
