Is There a Zombies Mode in Modern Warfare Remastered? What You Need to Know
As part of Sony’s PS Plus free games offering in March, players will net themselves one of the best multiplayer games of all time, remastered for current generation consoles. As such, you may be wondering whether or not Modern Warfare Remastered has a Zombies mode, whether you’re playing on PC, PS4, or Xbox One.
We’re going to cut right to the chase here and, unfortunately, have to be the bearers of bad news this time around.
Modern Warfare Remastered does not have a Zombies mode, instead focusing on bringing the iconic campaign and multiplayer action of the 2007 title to current generation consoles with all the bells, whistles, and aesthetic improvements players expect.
For those wondering why Modern Warfare never ended up having a Zombies game mode, that’s because it was the developers over at Treyarch who worked on the follow-up title, World at War, who introduced the Zombies game mode to the franchise, and kickstarted the craze the following year, in 2008.
With this being Modern Warfare Remastered, the game isn’t expected to include any major new additional content or tweaks to how the game plays. People want to hop back in for the nostalgic experience of sprinting across Bog, or throwing a set ‘nade on Backlot for the spawn kill.
Zombies never has and probably will never be a part of the Modern Warfare Remastered package, and that’s okay. If you’re looking for a Call of Duty Zombies experience, any of the following games down below will do the trick.
- World at War
- Black Ops
- Black Ops 2
- Black Ops 3
Essentially, any game that developer Treyarch has been responsible for includes a Zombies mode. In newer titles such as Black Ops 3, there’s even an integrated storyline you’ll play through, completing quests as you go, rather than it simply being a survival mode.
That’s all you need to know on whether or not Modern Warfare Remastered has a Zombies mode. For more tips, tricks, and guides on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite.
