FIFA 19 Team of the Week 27 (TOTW 27) Predictions

Carniball has ended and the FUT Birthday Promo is likely to begin at the end of the week, but the squad of in-form players from this week’s games will return. Here are our FIFA 19 Team of the Week 27 (TOTW 27) predictions.

• Régis Gurtner – GK – Amiens – 81 OVR – There aren’t any big name goalkeepers to be nominated this week, so Gurtner makes the cut here after some great saves and one from the spot to secure a 0-0 draw.
• Eder Militao – CB – Porto – 84 OVR – After his move to Real Madrid was announced last week, this selection would make sense due to the excitement it would cause. And, after a goal after switching to CB in Porto’s 3-0 win, he deserves it.
• Wes Morgan – CB – Leicester City – 79 OVR – His CB partner was sent off after just a few minutes, so winning is impressive in itself. Getting the 90th minute winner, though, secures his place.
• Grimaldo – LB – Benfica – 86 OVR – After a stunning goal in the Europa League last week, the spanish full-back assisted twice in the league game this week.
• Romain Hamouma – RM – Saint-Etienne – 81 OVR – Possibly getting his first TOTW of the season, Hamouma scored once and assisted two more in their 5-0 win.
• Karol Linetty – CM – Sampdoria – 81 OVR – The Polish midfielder scored once and assisted another in Sampdoria’s 5-3 win this weekend.
• Jadon Sancho – LM – Dortmund – 84 OVR – The title race is really hotting up in Germany. Sancho assisted twice in this weekend’s game, suggesting he’ll get a third in-form of the season.
• Angel Di Maria – LW – PSG – 90 OVR – Really stepping up recently, Di Maria stood out in both PSG games this week. He scored twice in their game vs. Marseille.
• Max Kruse – CF – Werder Bremen – 84 OVR – Playing in a slightly deeper role, Kruse scored twice and assisted a third in a 3-1 away win against Leverkusen.
• Wayne Rooney – ST – DC United – 83 OVR – Arguably the biggest shoe-in this week, the England legend scored three times and assisted another in a 5-0 win.
• Lionel Messi – ST – Barcelona – 98 OVR – Scoring yet another hat-trick, including a sublime third, Messi wholeheartedly deserves a play in TOTW 27. However, it is made difficult by the fact that he currently has a CL MOTM card in packs. If he makes this week’s team, he’ll have to come into packs on Friday. It’s possible that’s he’s not included at all, though.

The full team will be revealed via EA Sports’ Twitter account at 10 am ET on Wednesday, and the players will be released into packs at 1 pm the same day.
