Games with Gold Predictions For April 2019
As for the smaller game, we suspect Sonic Forces could make it to Games with Gold subscribers if not next month, then likely sometime soon.
A Sonic game has been offered on Games with Gold before, being Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed in June 2018.
Sonic Forces is one of the newest Sonic games having released in late 2017. Other Sonic games offered on Xbox consoles are mainly from the Xbox era with a couple more on Xbox 360 such as Sonic the Fighters, Sonic Unleashed, Sonic Generations, and ports of the classic Sonic the Hedgehog mainlines games. The argument is if Microsoft were to choose a Sonic game to offer on Games with Gold, Sonic Forces would be a more likely choice than other predecessors.
The only other Sonic game that has released since is the largely popular Sonic Mania, and since that title is still almost always full price and is often on the ‘Most Popular” tab for the Microsoft store, it might be a while before it is offered for free.
