PS Plus Free Games Predictions For April 2019

Usually a smaller, indie game also makes the list, and for April 2019 we predict Dead Cells will be that free game.

Dead Cells is considered one of the best indie games on the PS4, releasing back in May 2017 before coming to PS4 in August 2018. In it you play as a Prisoner navigating some increasing complicated dungeons, but when you die you are transferred back to the beginning.

This might make the game feel repetitive, but the combat is so great you are less likely to feel discouraged to start back at the starting point again. You will also carry over some perks from your past runs, including paths you’ve unlocked, access to new levels, abilities, weapons, and mutations.

It’s surprising Dead Cells has yet to be included on PS Plus simply due to its popularity. And since Sony has decided only PS Plus will now include only PS4 titles, this greatly limits its choice since a great dead of PlayStation indies are on PS3 or PS Vita. Dead Cells is a prominent PS4 indie that should be included on PS Plus if not next month, then likely sometime very soon.

Make sure to check back in the next couple weeks for Sony’s reveal of its official PS Plus line-up for April 2019.
