Shovel Knight’s Last Two Campaigns and amiibo Have Been Delayed, No Release Date Yet

Just today, Yacht Club Games released a blog update to provide some information on the upcoming campaigns for Shovel Knight: King of Cards and Showdown.

Both campaigns have been delayed, and Yacht Club Games states that the games will be pushed back by several months at most. As the company is still planning on releasing everything at once, this delay includes the physical editions, digital updates, and amiibo.

‘This is not a major delay so much as more space to bring everything together for a polished and complete finale. As always, these last steps require coordination with many teams beyond our own.

We realize the delay is disappointing. To communicate better with everyone moving forward, we will not be announcing a new date until we know one for sure, from all partners involved. All builds shipped out, updates ready to launch, for everybody and everyone. We will announce it for good once it is 100% all across the board!’

Yacht Club will be providing more updates on the development of the last two campaigns, and there will be more information on a confirmed release date once that has been set. We’ll keep you updated as more info on Shovel Knight comes our way.
