Let’s Go Remake of Pokemon Gen 2 (Gold/Silver/Crystal)pokemon let's go media create

Game Freak has put out remakes of Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow two times now, with Pokemon Fire Red and Leaf Green in 2004, and then Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee in 2018. You can’t blame ’em because the original 150 Pokemon are still probably the most memorable creatures throughout the series and fans will always have nostalgia for them.

While Game Freak usually releases remakes of their older Pokemon titles between the bigger, mainline ones, they did something different this time around and gave us Kanto again, but this time, with Pokemon GO mechanics.

While people have been wanting the next round of remakes, specifically for Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, you would think that would come next, but wouldn’t it be crazy to see another remake of Pokemon Gold and Silver on Switch with Let’s Go mechanics as well?

I could totally see Game Freak tease something like this for Switch, but it wouldn’t come out until after Gen 8, so maybe in 2020 or 2021, who knows?

While we already know that we’re getting a new mainline game for Switch, that will more than likely end up being Gen 8, there’s still some hope that we could possibly see a tease for a Gen 4 remake.

Game Freak hasn’t a released a traditional remake of a new region in quite some time, in almost five years as a matter of fact. Seeing the Sinnoh region in all of its glory on the Nintendo Switch would be quite fascinating. Going back to a DS game after almost 12 years of being released will surely make fans want this, and newbies as well.

Pokemon Snap Revived

We will fully admit that this one is more wishful thinking than anything, but this is probably the only announcement that would blow up the internet as much or maybe even more than a generation 8 reveal.

A remake of Pokemon Snap, port, or a new game entirely, is probably up there and many Nintendo fan’s wishlists. It’s certainly on ours. We’ll continue to hold our breath, but we recommend you don’t.

While at least one of these predictions are bound to be correct, what do you all think will end up happening tomorrow during the Pokemon Direct? Let us know in the comments below!
