How to Use Ultimate Ability in Apex Legends

Apex Legends burst onto the Battle Royale scene and is already proving popular. The blend of Titanfall gunplay and hero-shooting mechanics puts an interesting spin on the multiplayer formula that continues to dominate games right now. Here’s how to use your Ultimate Ability in Apex Legends.

At the start of each match, each player in a given squad will select which “Legend” they want to play with. There are eight different characters to choose from and each has their own Ultimate Ability that makes them unique.

These range from Bloodhound’s ability to see through walls to Pathfinder’s ability to lay ziplines to traverse distances in a flash.

Using your Ultimate Ability is simple enough. For PC, it’s the Z button. Console players on PS4 or Xbox One need to push the left and right triggers at the same time.

Do remember that you’ll need to wait for your Ultimate to charge before you can actually use it. At the start of a match, this takes a few minutes, but it’s faster after the first time you have used it.

You definitely want to reserve it for an appropriate occasion, though. It’s worth thinking about which sort of role your Legend is designed to fill. That should give you some idea how to best use your Ultimate to help your squad.

That’s all the information you should need about how to use Ultimate Ability in Apex Legends. For more useful tips and guides on the game, be sure to search Twinfinite. We’ll have plenty of coverage of the game over the coming weeks and we’ve listed some other helpful guides down below.
