Nintendo has just announced that there will be a double XP and SP event in the game this weekend, allowing players to have a much easier time leveling up their favorite spirits. With double XP, your equipped spirits will gain more experience whenever you win or lose a fight. And with double SP, you’ll be able to spend more SP on snacks to level up the spirits that you’re not currently using in battle.

Whichever method you prefer, you should be able to get quite a bit stronger this weekend.

The event in Super Smash Bros Ultimate will take place from Jan. 10 at 10 p.m. till Jan. 13, at 10 p.m. as well. So if you want to get some serious leveling in, you’ll want to set aside some time this weekend to play.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time with the game, citing it as possibly the best entry we’ve seen in the series yet, and the gigantic character roster certainly doesn’t hurt things either.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate is now available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
