Onimusha Warlords Remastered: What Clan Has Been Subverted by the Demons

What Clan Has Been Subverted by Demons in Onimusha Warlords

Onimusha: Warlords Remastered allows players to dive back into the hack and slash classic, and with it a slew of challenging puzzles to overcome. One in particular poses a tricky question for players: What clan has been subverted by the demons?

Though Onimusha: Warlords Remastered players will encounter this question early on as a trick lock for a treasure chest, the answer may elude them for quite some time.

Throughout the game, books decoding the language used for the puzzle chests can be found and gathered to open them for rewards. These books can be easy to overlook however, and uncovering the chests’ answers can be time consuming without them.

These books are found in the rooms that are enemy free and are all a color that should stand out against the pre-rendered environment; blue, red, green and so on. After finding them, players can backtrack to the corresponding chest for a reward.

To make a long process easier though, the answer to this question is “The Clan of Ogres.” This is revealed by collecting all of the Seiryu decoder books, most of which are scattered throughout the first few areas of Onimusha: Warlords Remastered.

If you haven’t found all of the Seiryu books, you can still open the chest by selecting the proper symbols in the correct order. To do this, go to the chest and activate it to initiate the puzzle.

After doing so, select the first set of symbols, then the third, and finally the sixth. This will unlock the trick treasure box and present you with a power gem that can be used to increase your overall health.

Hopefully this clears up the question of which clan has been subverted by the demons. Onimusha: Warlords Remastered is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
