How to Get Golden Ice Brutes in Fortnite
The Ice Storm has hit the Fortnite island, covering the map in snow and introducing the Ice Legion to the map. These are essentially re-skinned zombies from the Fortnitemares event back in October, and there are challenges to complete once again, too. Here’s how to get golden Ice Brutes in Fortnite if you’re struggling to find them.
We’re going to skip right to the chase here. Sadly, Golden Ice Brutes appear to spawn randomly from the various Ice Crystals that are now scattered around the map. These will randomly appear across the map after a little time has passed, so be sure to prepare for battle and then go out into the open hunting for these Ice Crystals.
Once you find one of these Ice Crystals in Fortnite’s Ice Storm game mode, begin shooting the different Ice Legion creatures that spawn. You’ll have the small, skinny Ice Fiends that aren’t of any interest to us, the ranged fiends that’ll throw projectiles, and then finally the Brutes. The Brutes are the larger, chunkier Ice Legion creatures that’ll come after you.
As you might have guessed, then, the Golden Ice Brutes are just these, but golden in color. They’ll often drop better loot than the other Ice Legion creatures, but will also take more damage to eliminate.
Sadly, as previously mentioned, there seems to be no surefire way to get Golden Ice Brutes to spawn in Fortnite. You’re at the mercy of the RNG Gods here, though some players have suggested that the longer you are into a game, the higher the chance of these special brutes spawning.
