Confirmed Release Dates Q1-Q4

upcoming RPGs. 2019, anthem

There is a host of great upcoming RPGs coming in 2019 worth getting excited about. Let’s first dig into all the confirmed release dates we know about for sure (assuming they don’t get delayed) and then dive into some games we’re pretty sure are coming this year, but don’t have firm release dates.

Starting off the year right, we’ve got Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition. Argued by many to be the best game in the popular Tales series, Definitive Edition adds on more story content to the base game, along with improved graphics and visuals.

The fast-paced linear motion battle system makes a return as well, and it’s a perfect entry point for newcomers who might be interested in the series.

Outside of that, Kingdom Hearts III is probably going to be the most highly anticipated upcoming RPG in the first quarter, as we’ll finally get to witness the end of the Xehanort saga.

Will Sora manage to rescue Aqua from the Realm of Darkness? Will the warriors of light triumph against Xehanort and Organization XIII? Will Sora and Riku finally kiss? It won’t be long now before we get the answers to those burning questions.

Anthem is another exciting title to look out for, as we’re keeping our fingers crossed that BioWare can avoid another disaster like Mass Effect: Andromeda.

Similarly, Ubisoft will be releasing The Division 2 in March, and hopefully this time around, the team will be able to avoid the mistakes that were made during the original game’s launch.
