The Avengers Project

awol games we're hoping to see in 2019

Square Enix teased an Avengers project they were working on back in Jan. 2017 and we haven’t even heard a whisper of it since.

Given that it’s being developed by Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal, the upcoming game has the potential to be one of the biggest releases of the year. And having been hiding mysteriously for long enough, 2019 is looking like the year will be seeing it.

With the recent success of Spider-Man for PlayStation 4 and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a strong Avengers game is ripe for the picking. Marvel has proven they know who to pick for their video game projects and Square Enix is poised for success with this property.

With a big Q1 for Square with Kingdom hearts 3 and Left Alive they need something to round out the rest of their year. A fall release would be great for this Avengers project coming right off of the heels of Avengers: Endgame. Is this game going to be a single-player narrative experience or a games as a service like Destiny? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
