Roller Coaster Tycoon Switch: How to Save and Exit Your Game

How to Save and Exit Your Game in Roller Coaster Tycoon Switch

Roller Coaster Tycoon Switch aka RCT: Adventures, for whatever reason likes to hide some of its most important features. Even though there’s a lot to like about the game, not everything is explained super well. Here’s how to save and exit your game if you’re having trouble figuring out exactly how to do that.

While in any game mode, use the directional pads to bring yourself to the game’s bottom menu bar. You know, the one that has all your rides, decorations, services, etc. on it. What you want to go to is the Settings tab, all the way on the bottom right.

If you dig around in there, you’ll notice that there is no place to save. Roller Coaster Tycoon Switch is constantly auto-saving for you. So if you want to to be sure you’re good to leave the game, you merely need to just play until you see the iconic floppy disc icon appear on the bottom right. It happens quite frequently.

It’s a little annoying that you can’t just manually do it and create your own states, but at least you don’t really have to worry about closing out and losing a massive amount of time.

Exiting the game when you’re done is a bit tricky as well. You could, of course, just turn off Roller Coaster Tycoon Switch after the game is saved for sure. However, if you’re paranoid like me, and prefer to go back to the main menu to be sure everything is OK, or you just want to go to a different mode, then you can do that.

While in the Settings section, on the bottom right, nestled away, is an option to Exit Park. Simply press X, and you’ll exit the game, (and it should save as well).

That’s all you need to know for how to save and exit your game in Roller Coaster Tycoon Switch, AKA Roller Coaster Tycoon Adventures. Have fun building your dream park!

TLDR:

Question: How do you save and exit in Roller Coaster Tycoon Switch?

Answer: The game auto-saves for you a lot, and from our experience, 100% of the time when you go to exit. You can exit by going to Settings and then pressing X.
